    I have astigmatism with a inner/outer donut pattern causing my double vision. I haven’t noticed a distance dependance. I think I just need to exercise the eye muscles in general, and I can adapt these to do so. Thx

    Long ago I had a retinal hemorage over my non dominant fovia. This will never heal entirely, but as the crenelated surface heals and my brain tries to interpret more I get an odd form of double vision, but it does not appear correctible with prism glasses.

    Is there a way to treat double vision and not need prisms in glasses? I want to be able to wear contacts and I was told contacts don’t have OB prims. This is the first time I’ve been rx prisms and haven’t ordered anything yet I just want to know what my options are. Thanks in advance !

    I mean I do have strabismus, but I also never shut up as a kid, which is probably why I also got the ADHD label to be fair lol. People had a hard time understanding me because I spoke so often and so quickly.

  • @PsychoMantisss
    @PsychoMantisss 14 дней назад

    I have never had any depth perception, even after two strabismus surgeries, it's never helped. When they ask me if I can pinch the fly's wings, it's always completely flat. Had a surgery as a child, at it did make the eye look normal, then had one as an adult, and it stopped the double vision to some extent, but no depth perception. The eye is drifting about almost 3 years later after the second surgery. I don't really want another surgery that won't fix the problem if I have to have it every couple of years. At this point I think I just need to be reincarnated into a properly functioning body, preferably with super powers lol.

    I have intermittent esotropia, my left eye is turning inward, which just started in the last couple of years. I’ve seen specialists in my area, and none of them have given me any eye exercises to do, they only recommend prism glasses, which I hesitate to use because I want to try to strengthen the eye muscle. CT scan of the orbital area showed a thickened left eye muscle two years ago I don’t know why they don’t want to give me any exercises to do, I found one on the Internet, and started doing it, and found out from one of the doctors that it’s for an eye that turns out Ward and I shouldn’t be doing it. 🤦🏻‍♀ Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated!

      Kinda the same. I'm 46 and developed an eye turn 1 year ago. Very frustrating. Prisms didn't work for me so I went and got Lasik. It helped a lot. Since I have an eye turn it took nearly 6 months for my left eye to stop suppressing and try harder to function properly. It's still not 100% but it's almost there. My question is what eye exercises would be best for an adult eye turn? I'd like to keep my left eye as sharp as possible. Any at home ideas?

    I had a corneal transplant in 2020 and regret it terribly. I have keratactonus in both eyes but so far great vision still in right eye. For four years I have had multiple injections and procedures to stop the graft rejecting. Significant pain, eyelid droop is severe, now developed cataract, cost is significant, can’t go outside without sunglasses, recently had glaucoma surgery which has caused migraines and further eye dysfunction and now eye tremor. My surrounding eye has lost fat and made it appear sunken from the medications. I previously played sport 5 times a week which I’ve had to give up. I have missed functions and social activities. I can’t wear eye makeup (I know sounds vain but I’m young and previously enjoyed this). I continue to have little vision but the impact the graft has had on my life is significant. 😢 My experience has been you will see little from specialists and groups talking about the graft and side effects post surgery and the lifelong medications you have to take (at one point I was on 7 different drops) most talk about contact lenses or cross linking. Just my experience I’m sure there have been many successes.
